Canyoning in Andalusia

canyoning in Andalusia
Going down isn’t just a necessity to get off a mountain, it can be also be a real adrenalin rush.
This sport is ideal for anyone that loves to get out into the countryside and has an adventurous side. You will find yourself in areas that not many people find, accompanied by one of our team to guarantee your safety and get the most out of the excursion.
It is our favourite activity in summer, with temperatures rising over 30ºC who doesn’t fancy a dip in a ravine with a group of like minded people. We recommend this activity from April until the end of October.
Canyoning involves making your way downstream navigating the various changes the ravine presents. You’ll find yourself walking, swimming, scrambling, abseiling, climbing and jumping. For a ravine to be suitable for a descent it must offer a decent water flow, certain steepness and narrowness.
We travel to all the areas that offer the ideal ravines to practice Canyoning. Sevilla (Las Calzadillas), Cádiz (Garganta Verde), Granada (Rio Verde), Málaga (Las Buitreras, Jaén (La Bolera) and even much further north to Huesca (Alquézar) are just a few to mention.
Here in the park we have an ideal ravine for beginners with little or no experience, suitable for all ages. It is considered an an easy descent with a few lovely jumps and beautiful scenery. Suitable from April through to the end of August.
Canyoning is suitable for pretty well all ages, though you should be fit and agile enough for a couple of hours of scrambling in and around flowing water and not be of too nervous a disposition when it comes to jumping into natural pools along the route!
