Welcome to Sierre eXtreme new web. This new site is born due to the need to show the world our experiences. We are part of one of the green zones of Andalucía where adventure sports hasn´t been popular until a few years ago, Sierra de Aracena (Huelva).

Sierra de Aracena

The Natural Park of Sierra de Aracena and Picos de Aroche is a little more of 186,000 hectares/459616,01 acres which are located in the north of the province of Huelva, and extends from the border of Portugal to Seville, from north to east, and from the mining area, where the famous Río Tinto Mines are, to the border of the region of Extremadura.

It has more than 800 km/497,097 miles of trail that is the backbone of all the region, with both height differences and low slopes suitable for all people.
This land is well known for its ham and natural wealth. It was established as protected area by Junta de Andalucía at the early 90´s; it was also declared Reserve of the Biosphere by UNESCO.

This green corner of Andalucía is made up of 28 villages: Alájar, Almonaster la Real, Aracena, Aroche, Arroyomolinos de León, Cala, Cañaveral de León, Castaño del Robledo, Corteconcepción, Cortegana, Cortelazor, Cumbres de Emmedio, Cumbres de San Bartolomé, Cumbres Mayores, Encinasola, Fuenteheridos, Galaroza, Higuera de la Sierra, Hinojales, Jabugo, Linares de la Sierra, Los Marines, La Nava, Puerto Moral, Santa Ana la Real, Santa Olalla del Cala, Valdelarco and Zufre. Besides being known for its gastronomy/ cuisine, Sierra de Aracena is becoming a key point for adventure sports lovers. Geographically speaking, it doesn´t have remarkable height differences or peaks , but it´s the ideal place to start practising this type of sports. Caves, ravines, paths, etc, prevail in an unique place of the province of Huelva. No doubt it is one of the best places to begin in this world.
